Born and bred in Cramlington. Started singing at the Bay Horse, Cramlington in 1967 (very talented for 3). Originally influenced by the Clancy Brothers (loved the jumpers). I have performed with The Northerners for over 40 years and my claim to fame was performing with the group on Opportunity Knocks in May 1971.

I now like to sing my own material mainly inspired by local heroes, culture and events. jiva kindly produced a CD for me which escaped and returned to the wild.

Club Quotes

What you see is what you get! And what you get is fun. His songs, particularly those "wot he has wrote" sit an audience up in their seats. When he's on "nessun dorma"!..

Powerful voice, cleverly written songs about the history of this area, interesting to listen to...

I've known this man for 70 years and still got a lovely voice to listen to. He writes songs you can't stop listening to...

Vertically challenged but huge on talent!..

Great voice, great composer - and a nice feller too!..

Entertains us with his lovely voice and his wealth of local historical knowledge which he puts in his songs...
