Support: Terry Fletcher

jiva got the night underway with Jimmy playing 12-string guitar and Val playing the 6. Their 3 songs (including 1 self-penned number) warmed up the Cramlington Choir nicely as harmonies filled the room.

In his own inimitable style, Terry Fletcher had us all smiling as well as singing through his first half slot which also included one of his own songs.

Then the guests, Simon and Andy, started their set with some blistering guitar and Northumbrian pipe playing. They alternated between playing instrumentals and songs, Simon providing the vocals and guitar, Andy the pipes and flute. There was plenty of audience foot-tapping and singing and lots of good-humoured backchat. An enjoyable 1st half to the night.

After a short break, jiva opened the 2nd half (both playing 6-string guitars) with 2 more of their own songs - again there was lots of joining in with the choruses.

Terry Fletcher kept up the tempo with some great guitar playing and singing - his version of 'Heard It Through The Grapevine' was a scorcher!

Simon and Andy returned to the stage with more songs and tunes, showing themselves not only as accomplished performers but also as writers too. The audience were well on board as they sang and clapped with great enthusiasm. Cheers and shouts for more prompted an encore in which Andy played another set of pipes, made by none other than himself! A grand finish to a very enjoyable night.

Special mention also for Dave Page who did a good job with the sound equipment.
