There was a good turnout for our DIY Christmas night at the club with fun and games dreamed up by Keith!

It started with a bit of a jam session before the evening got underway proper, but then we were straight into ‘charades’ with the residents split into teams headed by Dave Page and Terry Fletcher. Each team member had to mime or draw their way through the title of a song, a group or a performer or whatever they pulled out of the bag! Quite laughable to say the least!

There was more music, interspersed with the Quiz! Where did Keith get his questions from... 54 of them, or was it 55? The winner was our resident teacher Ken Cross, but Keith decided to pass the prize to someone else!

In the break we all tucked in to the spread of food brought in by everyone - yummy. (And yes, the meatballs were very spicy.)

Throughout the evening there was music from the regular performers. It was a 'Silent Night' from jiva as Jimmy had a sore throat. Jim Wigfield even managed to get a scratch backing band together (John Redpath on guitar, John Baston on harmonica and Jimmy Powells on double bass) for his new song 'Weginald’s Westauwant'!

Ken Cross with Dave Page, Gerry Tapscott, Esther Marshall and Terry Fletcher finished off the evening with Ken’s party piece - 'The Twelve Days of Christmas' complete with actions for each - very entertaining to watch.

A fun night with everyone enjoying themselves. Just before we all went home Keith thanked everyone for supporting the club again in 2005, and we all thanked Keith and Audrey for their hard work.

Merry Christmas - see you in 2006.
