Terry Fletcher got this singers night underway with a ‘happy’ blues song ‘I’m Alright Without You’, Pete Scott’s ‘Fall Apart’ and the Patsy Cline song ‘Crazy’ which had everyone joining in. In Irish vein Ken Cross sang ‘Everytime When You’re Gone’, ‘The Isle of Innisfree’ and ‘Steal Away’. John & Dave were in quiet mood as they sang ‘Love Hurts’ and ‘New York’ finishing their set with Ian McCalman’s ‘War Outside’. Another new song from Jim Wigfield ‘Chickens’ had the whole room resounding with chicken sounds. Then there was more joining in with the gentle John Denver song ‘While The Blossom Still Clings To The Vine’. Allan Savage finished off the first part of the evening with ‘The Jolly Tinker’, ‘Twa Corbies’ and an unaccompanied anti war song ‘Roddy McCorley’.

The usual break and raffle ticket selling followed.

To kick off the second half it was jiva with three self-penned songs - their pro-peace song ‘The Cause’, 'The Windmills of Blyth’ and ‘One More Song’ - all of which had the Cramlington choir in full swing. Newcomers Eddy and Charles were next with their own song ‘Feeling Good Again’, John Lennon’s 'Imagine' and the Lindisfarne song ‘Leave Me If You Want To’. Jimmy & Carol, joined again by Peter Cook and Allan Savage, sang ‘Blue Ridge Mountain Blues’, ‘Cotton Eyed Joe’ and ‘Smokey Mountain Memories’. Dave Anderson followed with Denver’s ‘Back Home Again’, the Allan Taylor song ‘Cold Hard Town’, and Mike Silver’s ‘Fragile Peace’.

To finish the night Terry returned with three more songs - James Taylor’s ‘Don’t Want to Be Lonely Tonight’,  an up tempo version of Marvin Gaye’s ‘Heard It Through The Grapevine’, closing with another James Taylor song 'You’ve Got A Friend’.

And again, thanks to John and Dave on the sound.
