This was one of those nights when everything went right - a Singers night when all performers rose above themselves and really hit the high spots. It was a night of prodigious entertainment provided by some of our regulars and a couple of visitors and the return of a one time regular.

The regulars were, in no particular order, John Richardson (no Davy); Allan Savage; Gerry Tappscott; Terry Fletcher; Ken Cross; Mike Hughes; Jimmy & Carol, Peter Cook & John Redpath; John Campbell and Jim Wigfield. It was good to see John Burns back - the visitors were Cheddy (Charlie & Eddie) and the Jones twins Mathew & David.

It would take too long to list all the songs tunes etc but worth particular mention was Jim Wigfield's song lamenting the woes of being England's football coach (penned on Sunday night) and Mike Hughes' rendition of 'Buskers' by Colum Sands.
But, the highlight of the night was the excellent set by Mathew and David Jones. On the evidence of this, these two young men will go far - and, judging by the audience reaction, I am sure they would all agree. The applause was prodigious.

The night ended on a blues note with a second and penultimate spot for John Campbell followed by John Burns.

The night was very well attended with most seats taken. A really marvellous night with some magical performances by all.
