Ken Cross got the night off to a great start and had the Cramlington choir singing from his first song. Ken took us on a musical tour of the UK with songs from England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland.

Then it was guest time and Jim began with a set of tunes, and then into song with a fine range of material from traditional to more contemporary from the likes of Ed Pickford. All of this was interspersed with stories about the tunes and songs which made for a very entertaining first half and left everyone with high expectations for the second set.

Getting the second part of the night underway was Mike Hughes with a mix of local and Irish material.

Time for Jim and his second spot. He set off with another set of tunes and then into more songs including Matt McGinn's 'Looking For A Job', and an Ed Pickford song written for another Jim from South Shields who plays fiddle. For an encore he chose a song about Brown Ale losing it's flavour in a certain receptacle over night.

To be in the company of Jim and singing along with him is Premier League. A night spent with Jim leaves you with that feel-good factor and wanting more. Don't miss him next time around.
