A regular visitor to the Cramlington Folk Club since the mid 1990's, Stewart again took up the guitar after his children flew the nest.
He writes and performs his own songs based on his life experience.
He also performs other lesser known popular songs from different periods from the past. Stewart likes to involve the audience and makes full use of the 'Cramlington Choir' when he can.
“Stewart puts a new slant on melancholy”
“A strong voice, very impressive -
“Leonard Cohen with a Yorkshire accent!”
“Very clever with words. He can write a song about anything. It's a shame he is left handed”
“Pleasant vocals, enjoyable songs which Stewart writes himself”
“Stewart claims that he never sings a happy song. We wouldn't have it any other way! His songs may be nostalgic or sad but they always entertain”
“This man could make Leonard Cohen cry”
“Has the persona of a lugubrious Yorkshire man and is never happier unless he is spreading misery with his fine voice and cack handed guitar playing”
